I realize that yesterday’s post should have been titled “Places to Eat in Dallas with a Few Places to Shop Thrown In For Good Measure”. But what is there to do but eat and shop, my friend? Those are the two things I love the most!
Today’s post is about a little project I stumbled upon while in the land of blog decorating. I have been spotting lots of silhouettes here and there like this one from Amanda Carol at Home via the a la mode blog.
Or this one from Design Sponge.
And how about these necklaces from Le Papier? Love.
So, I did a DIY silhouette project for my dining room. I used a tutorial from a blog but I can’t seem to find it again (sorry!). It was similar to this one. It was so easy- just took a profile pic of the kids, then printed it out and put it on some black cardstock. Then I cut out their cute profiles and framed them! Super quick & cheap! I had the black and white paper, and I bought the frames at… you guessed it! Christmas Tree Shops. What do you think of the finished product?
