My Mom’s Famous Snack Mix

Ok, friends! You asked, and here’s my mom’s famous snack mix recipe! Her original recipe calls for pretzels, mixed nuts, and pecans, so feel free to add those if you want. We prefer ours on the heavy-on-the-cereal side, so we add a couple more to the mix and nix the nuts. The top list of ingredients can really be whatever you want {except for the Maple Oatmeal Squares- those are key!!}- this list is just what I used this time. The bottom list of ingredients is the perfect blend of butter and spices—- sooooo yummy!

Cookie’s Famous Snack Mix

1 box Quaker Oatmeal Squares Cereal, Maple Flavored {these are hard to find but worth the hunt!}
1/2 box Honey Nut Chex
1/2 box Honey Kix Cereal
1 bag Snyder’s of Hanover Jalapeno Pretzel Pieces
1 box Cheez-It crackers

1/2 cup butter, melted
3 TBSP Worcestershire Sauce
2 TBSP seasoned salt
1 tsp garlic powder
cayenne to taste
2 TBSP Tabasco hot sauce {more or less depending on how spicy you want to go!}

Preheat oven to 250. Spray 2 LARGE, rimmed cookie sheets with Pam. Mix all cereals, crackers, pretzels, etc. together in large bowl.  In another bowl, combine butter, Worcestershire, seasoned salt, garlic powder, cayenne, and Tabasco. Pour over cereal mixture and mix with hands to combine. Spread over cookie sheets. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes

It’s so yummy!!! Every time I make it, it smells like Christmas and home!
