We’ve visited a few new-to-us restaurants recently and I wanted to let you Dallas readers know about them! But before I forget, I’m also talking about food {surprise!} on Dallas Moms Blog today. Go check it out!
Ok, now about these great restaurants:
Acme F+B- We tried out the new restaurant started by the Good 2 Go Taco crew and we loved it. It’s definitely a completely different menu then what we’re used to. Everything is farm fresh and so the menu changes nightly. We went with another couple and everyone seemed pleased with their meal! I ordered their signature dish- Chicken and Dumplings- and they were outstanding! It would be a great place for a date night or dinner with friends. P.S. I may be the only one who didn’t know this, but F+B means Food and Beverage. Duh.
Victor Tangos- Yummmmm. We went for a date night a few weeks ago. We had heard about their “family style” menu and it didn’t disappoint! Our favorite dish? The Chicken and Waffles! Oh, yeah. That’s how we roll. And guess what? There was both cream gravy and maple syrup to put on the chicken and waffles. Don’t knock it ’til you try it. Hands down, my favorite dish of all three of these restaurants.
Sissy’s Southern Kitchen- I had read a lot of hype about Sissy’s, but then friends had given mixed reviews, so we had to try it out for ourselves! I ordered the shrimp and grits, and they were just okay. But I prefer my grits to be cheesy and there to be bacon on my shrimp and grits, and this was more of a Cajun/tomato dish. Trey’s Chicken Fried Steak was outstanding. And they had Coconut Cream Pie on the menu. It wasn’t as good as my momma’s, but it was pretty darn close! Oh, and I think the mac and cheese was the best thing we ordered that night. It was cheesy perfection!
So, if you need a new spot for a date night or a fun night with friends, I recommend all three! If I had to pick one, it would be Victor Tangos- did yousee that picture of the Chicken and Waffles??

have you tried villa-o? They have a zucchinni spaghetti that I hear is sooo delish! Victor Tangos is one of our favorites, and we always have to order the chicken and waffles :)
