Pumpkins!

Today we ventured to the Dallas Arboretum for a playdate with Molly and Lisa. We didn’t know it was Mommy and Me day until we got there and saw the 1.3 million mommies and strollers. After debating whether or not to stay and fight the crowd, we ended up having a wonderful time looking around in the pumpkin patch and having a nice quiet picnic lunch!

As I was about to get Jack out of his car seat so we could visit the houses made of pumpkins, I realized I had the worst blow-out diaper situation in  Clemens family history. It was coming out both sides of his shorts. And it was all over the car seat. And I had 3 wipes (why, oh why, do I do that to myself?) and a short-sleeved onesie. Oh, and did I mention he has started solids recently? So, you can imagine… Anyway, PRAISE the LORD Lisa came fully prepared with an entire box of wipes. I used half of them getting everything off of Jack and myself! It was a mess. It (of course) ruined his cute Halloween outfit for pictures, but we luckily ran into Holly and she saved the day by letting Jack borrow one of Beckham’s back-up Halloween outfits. Yes, that’s my fashionable friend who brings her 3 month old extra cute outfits. What a novel idea :-)!

The weather couldn’t be more wonderful in Dallas right now, so it was the perfect day to get out and enjoy it!  Thanks, Lisa and Molly, for a fun playdate and for taking these great pictures!

We had a blast! I don’t think it would have been such a good story with out the 1.3 million moms/kids there or Jack’s blow-out diaper, good times :)
